Beekeeping is all about family. The hive, in many ways, is not so different from our own families. Bees, however, have a VERY complex one. Each family (or hive) of bees has different roles, responsibilities, tons of siblings, and one very important Queen bee. She’s the matriarch and she keeps things in order. Similar bee families, my own family shares different roles and responsibilities. We have four generations of beekeepers, starting with Grandpa and passing the torch down to my nieces and nephews. We all pitch in and have a great time doing it!
